Carter Alivia Greene was a bright light—full of love, joy, and a spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She had the kind of smile that made people feel at ease and a heart that brought warmth into every room.
Carter loved school. She loved learning, being with her friends, and the sense of excitement that came with each new day. She was a student at Colleton Prep Academy, a place that became an important part of her young life and a community that will always be connected to her story.
Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made—on her family, her friends, and everyone who knew her—will always be lasting.
Play for Carter was created to honor Carter’s life and to carry her legacy forward in a meaningful way. What began as a way to remember her has grown into a mission to give back—turning love into action and remembrance into opportunity.
Through the Play for Carter Memorial Golf Tournament, we support the Carter A. Greene Scholarship at Colleton Prep Academy, helping rising kindergarten and first-grade students begin their educational journey with encouragement and support.
Carter’s name lives on not only in our hearts, but in the lives of the students this scholarship helps each year. Every team that plays, every sponsor that gives, and every person who donates becomes part of her story and part of the legacy being built in her honor.
This tournament is more than a day on the golf course—it is a celebration of love, community, and the belief that even in loss, something beautiful and lasting can grow.
