The Play for Carter Memorial Golf Tournament was created to honor the life of Carter A. Greene and to carry her legacy forward in a meaningful way. Proceeds from the tournament fund the Carter A. Greene Scholarship at Colleton Prep Academy, supporting students at the very beginning of their educational journey.
Each year, this scholarship is awarded to a rising kindergarten or first-grade student, helping provide the foundation for a bright future through education.
Education shapes not only what children learn, but who they become. By investing in students at such an early and important stage, the Carter A. Greene Scholarship is about more than financial support—it’s about opportunity, encouragement, and belief in what’s possible.
Through this scholarship, Carter’s name continues to be spoken, remembered, and associated with hope, growth, and new beginnings.
Every team that plays, every sponsor that gives, and every person who donates helps make this scholarship possible. A day on the golf course becomes something much bigger—a chance to change a child’s path and honor Carter’s life in a lasting way.
Because of you, her legacy lives on in classrooms, in young learners, and in futures being built.
